Boat Command is a four-piece sonic unit based in Asheville, NC. Described by some as Post Lo-fi Yacht Hop, the sound is founded in jazz and fusion roots but is sustained by the methodologies of more modern genres such as hip hop and electronic music. The philosophy is expressiveness through low volume and allowing space to be a fundamental piece of the delivery. The message is to embrace what boating can do for you.

Dionysus provides an acoustic and electronic inspired take on the fusion of jazz and funk, resulting in what the band refers to as Astro Jazz; a mix of tight and precise dance rhythms, thick and complex bass lines, tasteful piano chords, and a saxophone that will take you to space.
