Carson Moore & Dave Easley

Dave Easley plays the pedal steel guitar with a phrasing, sense of touch, harmonic sensibilities and sheer virtuosity that puts him in a league with the greatest musicians of our time. Easley has worked with artists as diverse as Brian Blade, Joni Mitchell, Peter Rowan (Dharma Blues), Ruthie Foster (the Grammy nominated Let it Burn), Chris Schlarb’s multifaceted Psychic Temple, and New Orleans blues legend Coco Robicheaux (Louisiana Medicine Man, Yeah You Rite).
A few of the people Dave has had the honor of performing onstage or in the studio with are George Porter and Ike Stubblefield (Ruthie Foster’s new as yet unreleased cd produced by John Chelew) Dave Liebman, Kenny Garret, Bill Kreutzman, Howard Levy, Charlie Byrd, Seamus Blake, world renowned sarod player, Ashish Khan, sacred steelers, the Cambell Brothers, members of the String Cheese Incident, the Grey Boy Allstars and Tiny Universe, jazz violin virtuoso, George Mason, Raymond Weber, Tony Hall, Cyril Neville, Brian Stoltz and Dr. John.
Carson Moore is a progressive banjo player based between Asheville NC and Boston MA. Having worked with greats such as Bela Fleck, Mike Stern, V Selvaganesh (of Shakti fame) Leftover Salmon, Kenwood Dennard, Jeff Sipe and many others Moore is striving to establish banjo as a permanent presence in the world of jazz fusion. Playing both acoustic and electric banjo Moore is a pioneer of the instrument, being one of the first banjoist to fully delve into the world of Electric music. Moore is currently studying at the renowned Berklee College of Music on a presidential scholarship. Moore’s current touring projects consist of Lotus Feet, an exciting Acoustic Quartet paying tribute to Shakti (John Mclaughlin’s Indian Fusion Group), a recently formed indian fusion group with Shakti member V Selvaganesh, and an eclectic electric Fusion trio with drumming legend Jeff Sipe.
