Daze Between Benefit Concert
The Daze Between refers to the days in between the AVL Billy Strings runs that volunteers are staying in town and lending a hand in the recovery of WNC. This benefit, sponsored by the Jazz Foundation of America, is a way to say thank you to those volunteers and keep the goodwill rolling with a donation drive, a raffle and some of the best live music in Asheville.
The Pigeon River Messengers (2-2:45)
Bear Creek String Bandits (3-4)
Aaron ‘Woody’ Wood (4-4:30)
Suns of Stars (4:30-6)
all with special guests including Don and Marty Lewis (Sons of Ralph) and Tommy Mayher (Fireside Collective)
$20 suggested donation will go to Emergency RV and Restring Appalachia, two organizations who have helped thousands of survivors, including some of these musicians personally, after being affected by Helene.
Emergency RV started in CA as a result of the Camp Fire in 2018. They are currently back out in CA helping victims of the LA fires as well as remaining as a lifeline in WNC to those who lost their homes.
ReString Appalachia is an initiative from American Songcatcher supported by over 200 musicians, instrument makers, nonprofits, venues, visual artists, actors, and media outlets, dedicated to getting quality instruments back in the hands of those who lost them due to Hurricane Helene, and Hurricane Milton.
Come out for an afternoon of great music, camaraderie, delicious brews from One World Brewing and support these organizations and these local musicians.
Local craft vendors and a food truck will also be on site.
Raffle proceeds benefit BeLoved Asheville who has been a pillar of strength and community for WNC since 2009.
This event will be live streamed by I Am AVL on their YouTube Channel (like and subscribe!) and broadcast to the bands’ Facebook pages. Tune in if you can’t make it to the show.
