The Hammond organ tradition is a very significant part of American music history. It combines elements of rural music traditions with urban cultures: gospel, blues, rhythm and blues, rock & roll, country music…all have the Hammond organ sound as a part of their musical heritage.
We are honored to play in this tradition while we also work to bring our own musical point of view to contribute to the art form. We hope you enjoy the music!
“The Dan Davis Group brings the smoky, soulful sound of the jazz organ trio into the now. They play with raw energy, deep improvisation, and a rhythm-driven spirit.”
