The Saylor Brothers are a jamgrass fusion group from Asheville, fronted by brothers Will & Ben Saylor, of Brushfire Stankgrass. This project is a foray further into the realm of bluegrass jam, with more emphasis on improvisation piled on top of a structure of traditional bluegrass and innovative original songwriting. As a trio with Greg Stiglets on bass, the band packs a large sound coming from three acoustic instruments, and often adds a fourth player for further improvisational and bluegrass firepower. Joining the band on May 21 will be Drew Matulich, who has collaborations with names like Gina Furtado and Billy Strings under his belt.
